What Till Roll Paper Do I Need and do you provide them?
For our Till Rental You will need 57x57mm Thermal Paper. 4 rolls are provided free. if you require additional till rolls then these can be ordered. We also offer till rolls on a sale or return basis so you can order and any unopened boxes the cost will be refunded back with your deposit.
What is the Weight of the Cash Register?
Our Rental tills weighs just 14kg. These are light in weight and come in customised boxes to make packaging easier. The boxes have our logos printed on the front which have our details including phone number. Instructions are provided on how to box the tills back safely.
Can I change the price and name of an Item on the Till?
Yes, it can be done quickly and easily. By pressing a few buttons and following the instructions. We provide a Instruction Manual with every Till Rental! If you require help on this then phone one of our engineers who will be able to help. Once the till has been programmed you will receive a copy of the layout to approve. It is advisable that you carefully check this as it would be better not to have to add products once the event has started. We can programme an open button to enable you to sell anything that may have been missed of the original programming.
Can I have a logo printed on the Receipt?
Yes. We can put your logo onto your till rental receipt provided it is in correct format. (There is a small charge for this). The till can have six lines for a receipt so most customers don’t put a logo on the till. Information usually is address, phone number and also a website address. You can also programme the till so it does not print a receipt after each transaction. Only if the customer requests a receipt will the till print one. This can also help in saving paper. We recommend that if it is essential to print a receipt for your customers then on the programming sheet please say so. The default setting is receipt off.
Does the Till hire have a Customer Display?
Yes. Basic Till Hire have Customer Displays. This displays the amount and can be viewed by the customer It can adjusted and is fixed to the till.
How do I place a order for Till Hire
In order to place an order for Till Hire you can either email us, contact us by phone, live chat or fill an enquiry form. Once we receive your enquiry you will receive a online quotation form. You can ask questions at any time via the form and we can help you choose the right till. The online quotation once accepted confirms the order. The next stage is that we will send you a programming sheet which will enable you to list the products and prices along with details of the receipt header.
How Long can I Rent a Till for?
We offer, 1 Week, 2 Weeks, 3 Weeks, 1 Month, 2 Months & 3 Months Till Hire. We also offer longer Till Rental periods if you require it! Just talk to our friendly Till Hire Experts. Note basic tills are more suitable for short term rental as to rent for a long time can become expensive and may be better to purchase rather than rent. For longer term look at our Epos Hire range which is very competitively priced. We have a large number of customers who rent on long term epos systems. Each is provided support throughout the rental period.
What Support do I get with your Till Hire
Our Till hire service includes full documentation that is provided with the till. It shows how to operate the till. In addition there is a office hours number and a weekend support number. Most customers don’t require support during the rental period as the instructions are comprehensive and the tills are easy to use. However we offer full support with all our products from placing an order to the return of the till rental. We are here to make sure that your event is successful and you join the many companies that rent from us on a regular basis.
Do you hire card terminals or PDQ Machines?
Yes with our till hire we offer a onestop shop. If you require to take card payments we can offer a GPRS terminal with roaming sim as a PDQ Hire. These are VeriFone VX-820 terminals which include contactless and Apple Pay. Please note if you are a new customer this can take up to 5 working days as requires confirmation from your bank. In order to use a GPRS terminal you must have a UK merchant number. If you don’t have a merchant number then we can offer you a Izettle solution which takes only a couple of hours to set up. There are no fixed monthly costs and you pay a fixed percentage which decrease the more transactions that you do. This option allows you to use a mobile phone IOS or Android or a tablet to take card payments. In addition we offer a blue tooth printer which is compatible with the Izettle which allows receipts to be printed. In order to confirm the transaction you will require either to be connected to a Wifi connection or use the data on your mobile phone.
How Easy is the till to use?
Having rented basic tills for many years now. The models that we choose are very user friendly and easy to use. Most of our customers are able to operate the till using the basic instructions provided. Most don’t require any training at all. However if you do require help then our support line will be able to talk you through the basic operations of the till. Although there are many models in the market available for Till Rental we only choose models that we know have a proven record and reliability and each is tested before despatch.
How do I pay for my till rental?
After accepting a quote you will be sent an invoice which can be paid either by card or bank transfer or by cash if you want to collect in person. The deposit for the till will be refunded back by the same payment method that you use . You must pay in full before your rental till is dispatched. The Till Rental will be despatched by our courier APC based upon the delivery address on the order form. The packaging that we use is customised for Till Rental and includes strong foam which keeps the till safe in transit. At the end of the rental period you will be contacted by us to arrange collection. You should package the till back in the same way that you receive to avoid any damages.

The Journal roll records each transaction and can be used as a reference if there are any discrepancy when cashing up at the end of the day. 4 Till rolls are given free with each till rental. For each unopened box we will refund back the cost along with your deposit once your till rental has been completed and the till returned back to us.
Our Preset Till Hire weighs 16kg. The till rental is boxed in one of our customised boxes which is designed to keep the till safe while in transit. Packaging instructions are also included so after the till rental the preset till can be safely boxed to prevent any damage.

Yes. We can put your logo onto the Till Hire Receipt provided it is in correct format. The format must be black/white 384 pixels wide by 192 pixels high. (There is a small charge for this). The till also allows you to programme a receipt header and footer. At the top of the receipt you can have up to six lines. In addition on the bottom you can have another six lines. The maximum characters per line is 32 per line.
Does the Till have a Customer Display?
Yes. Preset Till hire all have Customer Displays! This will display both the price of the product sold and description. The front display can be titled to suit the till operator.

Can more than one person use the till?
Yes on a preset till hire you can have clerk interrupt which enables more than one person to use the till at once. This is very useful as it allows multiple sales to progress at once. In order for this function to work you will need either to name the operators or keep them as clerk 1,2,3 etc. Once you do a sale you can then press a second clerk and the sale will then be put on hold. If you require this feature then please bear in mind that a clerk must sign on after each transaction.
What is difference between a basic and preset till
A basic till can have up to 16 items pre programmed on the till. A preset till can have up to 110 items programmed. Although even our basic tills offers a wide range of reports preset tills have more options that can be configured. Examples of this includes Clerk Interrupt which is available on our preset till rentals, Table tracking and ability to transfer sales onto a SD Card are some additional features that are available. The preset tills are more suited for when you have a larger amount of items that can’t be consolidated into 16 buttons. We offer free programming on our basic tills and due to the additional complexity of programming on a preset till there is a small additional charge for programming.
How do I order a preset Till?
In order to place an order for a preset till you can contact us by either phone, email us, live chat or by filling in an enquiry form. On receipt of your enquiry for your till rental we will provide you with an online quote after discussing your requirements. The quote can be amended as required and you are able to ask further questions. Once the quote is accepted for your till rental booked in our system. You will then be sent a programming sheet and be allocated an engineer who will support you throughout your till rental. We will then invoice you for your rental and confirm delivery and collection details. You will receive continued support throughout the rental period.
